Starling Marte played 11 games in Winter Ball this January 2024 going 12 for 42 with 4 runs, 3 RBIs, 2 doubles, 4 walks, 3 HBP, 8 Ks and 2 stolen bases. He hit .286 with a . 388 OBP, .333 Slugging and .721 OPS.
Starling looked to get back into playing shape after missing time in 2023. Marte underwent double groin surgery after the 2022 season and played just 86 games in 2023 - only two of which were in the second half. In his time this Winter, Marte appeared healthy. A healthy Starling Marte will be a welcome addition to the Mets 2024 lineup.
