The Brooklyn Cyclones (11-10) continue their two-week homestand with six games against the Aberdeen IronBirds (11-10) — the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles — starting Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Douglas Orellana (0-0, 1.35) is expected to take the ball and make his first start of the season for the Cyclones. The IronBirds are projected to counter with RHP Levi Wells (0-1, 9.58).

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones dropped Sunday's series finale to Wilmington, 5-1...Brooklyn's only run came on a solo home run by 1B Mateo Gil in the bottom of the eighth...Gil and CF Omar De Los Santos each tallied a pair of knocks, accounting for four of Brooklyn's eight hits...LF Phillip Glasser accumulated a pair of doubles and an RBI for Wilmington, while C Maxwell Romero Jr. added a two-run double in the sixth...RHP Nolan McLean took a no-decision for Brooklyn after hurling three innings of shutout ball...RHP Andry Lara earned the win for the Blue Rocks with just two hits and seven strikeouts in six scoreless innings.
THE TONG SONG: RHP Jonah Tong joined Brooklyn's roster from Single-A St. Lucie on Monday...INF Jefrey De Los Santos was also reinstated from the 7-day injured list, while RHP Jordan Geber was transferred to Double-A Binghamton, and UT Jaylen Palmer was reinstated from their injured list…In four appearances (two starts) in the Florida State League, the 20-year-old was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER in 18.2 IP)…The only run Tong has allowed is unearned, in addition to racking up 36 strikeouts to only five walks…Entering play on Tuesday, the Markham, Ont. Native is third among qualifiers in Minor League Baseball in strikeout rate (52.9%) trailing only Single-A Lynchburg’s LHP Matt Wilkinson (56.2%) and Single-A Palm Beach’s LHP Quinn Matthews (53.5%)…Tong’s 45.6% strikeout-to-walk rate is second-best in MiLB behind Wilkinson (47.9%)…Tong is one of three qualifiers who has not allowed an earned run and his 36 strikeouts are tied for sixth-most in the minors.
BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITI: C José Hernández and OF Karell Paz were part of Brooklyn’s contingent at Citi Field on Monday afternoon…Both players had the opportunity to hit against the New York Mets RHP Kodai Senga who was facing live hitters for the first time since being diagnosed with a torn posterior shoulder capsule in February…Hernández described Senga as the “best pitcher he’s ever faced” and his offerings as “nasty”…King Henry, Sandy, and Pee-Wee were in attendance later in the day for the Mets matchup against the Chicago Cubs, as Cyclones’ season-ticket holders were honored in a pre-game ceremony.
