Late last night, the Mets traded James McCann to the Orioles for a player to be named later. From the Mets Press Release: "In his two-year stint with the Mets, he hit .220/.282/.328 with 13 home runs and 64 RBI in 182 games with the club."
Also last night, the Mets signed infielder Danny Mendick. Mendick was non-tendered by the White Sox after the 2022 season. He played in 31 games last year with 3 HR, 15 RBIs, 7 walks, 23 Ks, .289/.343/.443 - .786 OPS while playing SS, 2B, 3B and 1 game in LF before tearing his right knee ligament.
