Keith Hernandez spoke on WFAN about the Mets 2025 Outlook. Asked by Richard Neer on what else the Mets should work on Keith responded "My attentions would be towards pitching, but particularly the bullpen, because if you're going to put Holmes, Clay Holmes, make a starter out of him and he's been a reliever, you can't expect anything more than five innings from him, and that's going to tax the bullpen."

Andrew Tredonnick, The Record: Projecting the Mets' starting rotation with Sean Manaea returning. Andrew envisions the follow Mets 6 Man Rotation: "RHP Kodai Senga, LHP Sean Manaea, RHP Frankie Montas, LHP David Peterson, RHP Clay Holmes, RHP Griffin Canning.

MLB.com: Each team's prospect whose stock improved most in '24. For the Mets, it's Jonah Tong: "The 2022 seventh-rounder only pitched 21 innings in 2023 and walked 22 batters in that span. Then he became one of the most dominant pitchers in the Minor Leagues, posting a 3.03 ERA while ranking ninth in the Minors with 160 strikeouts in 113 innings between Single-A St. Lucie, High-A Brooklyn and Double-A Binghamton. Looking like Tim Lincecum at times with an extreme over-the-top delivery, Tong averaged 20-21 inches of IVB on his low-90s fastball and played off that with a mid-80s curveball that snapped at the bottom of the zone. Batters couldn't handle that north-south approach, and he jumped appropriately up the rankings and toward Queens."

MLB.com: 12 players who reached big-time milestones in 2024. Includes "Pete Alonso: 200 home runs" and "Juan Soto: 200 home runs, most walks before turning 26"

MLB.com Everything you need to know about Mets 2025 tickets. "Mets will play their home opener April 4 against the Blue Jays at Citi Field. That will also be Soto’s first home game in Flushing...Fourth of July weekend is going to be massive. The Mets and Yankees will play three consecutive matinees that weekend, including a 3:10 p.m. ET start on July 4...The Mets only have one homestand over the final month of the season, but it’s a long one from Sept. 12-21. Playoff implications could abound in those series against the Rangers, Padres and Nationals."

Revisit one signature win for every MLB team from 2024. "Mets: Lindor pushes Mets into playoffs, Sept. 30. Lindor hit a two-run homer in the ninth to give the Mets the lead for good and push them into the playoffs."

NJ.Com: Mets talked to first baseman before he signed with AL team. "Carlos Santana will return to familiar ground after signing with the Cleveland Guardians, but many teams were reportedly interested in the free agent first baseman. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks “were in the mix” for the first baseman."

Abbey Mastracco NY Daily News: Mets’ Juan Soto planning to give back to youth on the field after inking massive new contract. "Soto made it to the semifinal round of the Home Run Derby at Coors Field before being eliminated by former Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, who went on to win his second straight Derby title. His All-Star week earnings came out to about $200,000, all of which went to sponsoring Dominican athletes in the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Soto sponsored athletes participating in various sports at the urging of Emilio Bonifacio, his former Washington Nationals teammate. Bonifacio, a 12-year MLB veteran, helped the Dominican baseball team win a bronze medal, the country’s first-ever Olympic medal in a team sport."
