I don’t see a lot of brainstorming going on over here

Lindor is a heckuva player and a great guy . I hope he decides to sign
— Steven Cohen (@StevenACohen2) March 30, 2021
Mets $325M, 10-year offer to Lindor contains no deferrals, meaning it’s actually worth more in terms of net present value than Betts’ $365M, 12-year, heavily-deferred ($120M deferred) Dodgers deal. Lindor said to still be seeking $385M with no deferrals.

Regarding Michael Conforto, the Mets are waiting on a Lindor resolution before moving forward, as sources have maintained throughout this process. Conforto has not given the Mets a hard Opening Day deadline, like Lindor did.
— Anthony DiComo (@AnthonyDiComo) March 30, 2021
For the next day and a half, it's all about Lindor.
Like Story, Baez and Correa, Corey Seager will enter the season without an extension. Dodgers made an effort on Seager, who they’d like to extend. But like the others, he will remain free agent eligible. Lindor remains the lone superstar SS in serious negotiation.
