Abbey Mastracco NY Daily News: Mets prospects to watch in spring training. Abbey looks at Mark Vientos, Ronny Mauricio, Kevin Parada and Alex Ramirez.  About Mauricio she says: "The 21-year-old has a higher trade value as a shortstop. Lindor will be playing for Team Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic, so Showalter can slot Mauricio into his spot in the order...if the club needs to make upgrades at the trade deadline, Mauricio may be their best bargaining chip."

Buck Showalter spoke to numerous Mets Podcasts yesterday.

Buck talked depth with the Mets'd Up Podcast on YouTube: "...always a couple of injuries away from things changing so...I think I'm more interested in our depth...I'm more interested at this point in our what ifs... you know you look at Tylor Megill you look at some of the injuries we had and the people that stepped in...so you know we've really got to identify that quality depth.  I know Billy Eppler [and] the front office have been very adamant about the what ifs...that's what we're after..."

SNY.TV: Mets’ Buck Showalter says prospects would have received opportunities this spring 'regardless' of World Baseball Classic
