LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones matched their longest winning streak of the season, taking their 3rd straight over the Renegades, 6-1, on Friday night...Hudson Valley went ahead in the 5th on a solo home run by RF Grant Richardson...Brooklyn tied it on a CF Alex Ramírez double and took the lead on a LF Jaylen Palmer sacrifice fly in the 6th...3B Chase Estep reached base 4 times on a pair of hits and walks, adding an RBI in the 9th...1B Joe Suozzi reached 4 times as well thanks to 3 singles and a hit-by-pitch...All 9 batters for Brooklyn reached base at least once...Richardson and 1B Rafael Flores registered multi-hit games for the ‘Gades...RHP Joander Suárez earned his first win, while RHP Dylan Tebrake and LHP Quinn Brodey collected a hold and save, respectively.

PITCHING IN: The Cyclones' pitching staff has been marvelous over the course of the team’s 3-game winning streak...Since Wednesday afternoon, Brooklyn has permitted just 1 earned run (4 total) on 17 hits through the last 27.0 innings...That is good for a microscopic 0.33 ERA...Cyclones' pitching has walked 18 and struck out 35 in that span...Brooklyn’s strikeout rate is 31.3% during the win streak...The ‘Clones have outscored the ‘Gades, 19-4, over the last 3 games...Additionally, after not accruing a win in the first 31 games, Brooklyn starters have earned the victory in each game of the win streak.

BROOKLYN BRUISING COMPANY: In Friday’s victory, the Cyclones were drilled with pitches on 6 different occasions...That is the most times a single team has been plunked in a South Atlantic League game this season...It also set a new franchise record for hit-by-pitches in a single game...The previous high-water mark was 5 on July 24, 2022, at Jersey Shore...In addition, with LF Jaylen Palmer and 1B Joe Suozzi drilled twice and once, respectively, they have tied OF Matt Rudick’s Cyclones record for career hit-by-pitches with 16...Rudick still holds the single-season mark as all 16 of his came in the 2022 season.

WIZARD OF SUOZZ: OF/1B Joe Suozzi matched a season-high with 3 hits on Friday and enters Saturday riding an 8-game on-base streak during the course of Brooklyn’s road trip...The Glen Cove, N.Y. native is 10-for-his-last-26 (.385) with 4 runs scored, 2 doubles, 4 RBI, 3 walks, and a stolen base...Suozzi has registered a .913 OPS and 152 wRC+ in those 7 contests...Dating back to April 26 at Jersey Shore, the 25-year-old has registered at least one base knock in 11-of-14 games.
