The Brooklyn Cyclones (25-33) search for consecutive wins against the Aberdeen IronBirds (29-29) — the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles — on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. from Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium.
RHP Jeffrey Colón (1-3, 5.75) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against the Orioles’ No. 27 prospect per Baseball America, Aberdeen’s RHP Trace Bright (0-3, 5.40).

OH YEAH, OMAR: OF Omar De Los Santos has picked up steam at the plate in June...The 23-year-old tallied a season-high-tying 3 hits in Wednesday’s win over the IronBirds...Since the beginning of the month, De Los Santos is batting .306 (15-49) with 7 runs scored, a double, 2 home runs, 8 RBI, and 4 stolen bases...The right-handed swinger is tied for 2nd in the SAL in hits (15) during June...Additionally, De Los Santos has added 22 stolen bases in 2022 and remains among the best base stealers in Minor League Baseball since the beginning of 2022...The Dominican native has accumulated 92 stolen bases in that span, which is tied for 5th most in MiLB...Only Aberdeen OF Luis Valdez (102), Marlins farmhand INF Nasim Núñez (98), Red Sox prospect INF David Hamilton (96), and Mariners prospect OF Jonatan Clasé (96) have swiped more...De Los Santos has also snagged 52 more bases than any other Mets prospect in that time...Fellow Cyclone IF/OF Jaylen Palmer is 2nd with 40...Omar is already 10 swipes shy of matching INF Walter Rasquin’s franchise record for single-season stolen bases (32) which was set back in 2017.
CANARSIE’S CROWN PRINCE: IF/OF Jaylen Palmer has scattered himself across the Cyclones’ all-time leaderboards...Entering Thursday, the 22-year-old is Brooklyn’s franchise record holder in games played (192), at-bats (631), plate appearances (756), runs scored (98), walks (105), and stolen bases (47)...Palmer passed INF Ronny Mauricio ‘21 (63) for 2nd place in Cyclones history in RBI (67) on May 23 and is 2 behind INF José Peroza (69) for the all-time mark...The Canarsie, Brooklyn native is 2nd all-time in total bases (197), 4th in home runs (16), and tied for 4th in hits (116).
JEFE JEFFREY: RHP Jeffrey Colón suffered the loss in Game 1 last Saturday, but permitted just 1 earned run over 5.1 innings...The 23-year-old also matched a career-best with 9 strikeouts on May 26 vs. Winston-Salem...That equaled his total from last August 28 at Jersey Shore...In his last 4 appearances (3 starts), Colón is 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA (4 ER in 18.2 IP), allowing 14 hits and 8 walks, striking out 21...In his last 3 starts at Maimonides Park, Colón has hurled 18.2 innings, allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 13 hits...The Las Matas de Farfán, D.R. native has a 1.93 ERA and permitted only 6 walks and punched out 20 in that span.
