The Brooklyn Cyclones (3-1, 31-38) look to even their series against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (3-1, 38-31) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Thursday night at 7 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island.
RHP Tyler Stuart (2-0, 1.44) — the Mets’ No. 18 prospect per Baseball America and Minor League Baseball’s ERA leader — is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Jersey Shore’s RHP Sam Jacobsak (0-1, 4.95).

STU-PENDOUS: RHP Tyler Stuart set career-highs in innings pitched (7.2) and strikeouts (11), earning his 2nd win of the year last Thursday night vs. Hudson Valley...The 23-year-old is the first Cyclone to record 11+ strikeouts in a single game since RHP Carson Seymour accomplished the feat on July 15, 2022, vs. Greensboro...Stuart is also the first Brooklyn arm to work into the 8th inning since RHP Conner Grey tossed 8.1 innings vs. Jersey Shore on July 16, 2021...The Southern Miss alum is the first Cyclone to work 7.0+ innings and record 10+ strikeouts in a single game since LHP Kevin Canelon whiffed 10 over 8.0 frames at Hudson Valley on August 25, 2015...Stuart leads all qualifiers in the SAL, High-A, and all of Minor League Baseball in ERA (1.44)...The Kankakee, Ill. native leads the league in LOB% (89.5%) and FIP (2.86), 2nd in xFIP (3.16), 3rd in strikeout rate (31.0%), 5th in batting average against (.209) and strikeouts per 9 innings (11.20), tied for 5th in strikeouts (78), 6th in WHIP (1.09), and 7th in innings pitched (62.2).
CAPTAIN KEVIN: C Kevin Parada has picked up the pace offensively over the last few weeks...Dating back to June 6 vs. Greenville, the 21-year-old is slashing .339/.397/.613 with a 1.010 OPS and 172 wRC+ in 16 games...Parada has accrued 8 runs scored, a double, 2 triples, 4 home runs, 14 RBI, 5 walks, and a hit-by-pitch...Additionally, the Pasadena, Calif. native enters Thursday on an 8-game hitting streak (13-for-31; .419/.471/.871) and a 13-game on-base streak (.347/.418/.633)...The former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket enters Thursday tied for 5th in the South Atlantic League in doubles (15), 7th in extra-base hits (25), 8th in total bases (105), and tied for 9th in hits (63).
MARATHON MEN: Brooklyn is in the midst of their longest stretch without an off day for the 2023 season...The Cyclones will play 12 games in 12 days from Wednesday, June 28, until Sunday, July 9...Brooklyn completes their 2-week homestand with a 6-game series at Maimonides Park vs. Jersey Shore until Monday, July 3...The ‘Clones will then travel south to Wilmington for a 6-game set at Frawley Stadium against the Blue Rocks starting on Tuesday, July 4...Following the 12 games in 12 days, Brooklyn will have a 4-day break for the Major League All-Star Game before returning to Coney Island on Friday, July 14, to open up a brief 3-game home series vs. Greensboro.
