The Brooklyn Cyclones (22-13, 50-50) look to earn a series split against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (18-17, 53-47) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. from ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, N.J. 

RHP Benito García (0-0, 0.92 ERA) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn in a bullpen game against Jersey Shore’s RHP Carlos Betancourt (4-3, 4.21 ERA), who will do the same.

CLIFFORD THE CYCLONE: OF Ryan Clifford was added to Brooklyn's roster on Thursday...The 20-year-old was acquired by the New York Mets with OF Drew Gilbert from the Houston Astros in exchange for RHP Justin Verlander on Tuesday...Clifford smashed a 2-run home run to right in his first at-bat and closed out his organizational debut with a 2-for-3 day, adding 2 walks and 2 runs scored...Clifford was ranked as Houston's No. 3 prospect at midseason by Baseball America and is deemed the Mets' No. 6 farmhand by MLB Pipeline...The 2022 11th-round pick enters Saturday leading the South Atlantic League in slugging percentage (.542)...He is also 2nd in OPS (.896) trailing only former Greenville INF Blaze Jordan (.918) and tied for 4th in the South Atlantic League in home runs (17)...Among players with at least 250 plate appearances, Clifford is 1st in isolated power (.276), 4th in OPS (.896), and 6th in wOBA (.393) and wRC+ (137).
