With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 15th frame, Robin Ventura hits a home run, which becomes known as "The Grand Slam Single," driving the Mets fans into a frenzied state as the team, who lost the first three games of the playoff series, extends the NLCS to a Game 6. The Shea Stadium hero is credited with only a single and one RBI when he fails to touch all four bases due to being mobbed by his teammates on the base paths, with the umpires awarding New York a 4-3 victory after ruling Roger Cedeño, the runner on third at the time, as the only player to have crossed home plate before the on-field celebration began.

Baseball Reference:

2015: The Mets win Game 1 of the NLCS, 4 - 2 over the Cubs, as Matt Harvey pitches into the 8th inning and Daniel Murphy and Travis d'Arnaud both homer at Citi Field.
