Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (12-11) try and return to the win column against the Aberdeen IronBirds (12-11) — the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles — in an Education Day contest on Thursday at noon from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

RHP Jonah Tong (NR) — who leads all of Minor League Baseball in strikeout rate (53.6%) — is expected to take the ball in his High-A debut for the Cyclones. The IronBirds are projected to counter 20-year-old RHP Moisés Chace (1-0, 1.20).

LAST TIME OUT: Aberdeen evened the series at a win-a-piece after defeating Brooklyn on Wednesday night, 6-2...DH Nolan McLean powered a solo home run in the second and 1B Nick Lorusso added a run-scoring single in the third for the Cyclones' two tallies...CF Matthew Etzel collected three knocks and an RBI for Aberdeen...RF Tavian Josenberger clocked a two-run home run in the sixth and collected a pair of hits...DH Elio Prado also registered a multi-hit game.

THE TONG SONG: RHP Jonah Tong joined Brooklyn's roster from Single-A St. Lucie on Monday...INF Jefrey De Los Santos was also reinstated from the 7-day injured list, while RHP Jordan Geber was transferred to Double-A Binghamton, and UT Jaylen Palmer was reinstated from their injured list...In four appearances (two starts) in the Florida State League, the 20-year-old was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER in 18.2 IP)...The only run Tong has allowed is unearned, in addition to racking up 36 strikeouts to only five walks...Entering play on Thursday, the Markham, Ont. native leads all qualifiers in Minor League Baseball in strikeout rate (52.9%)...Single-A Lynchburg's LHP Matt Wilkinson (50.5%) is second...Tong's 45.6% strikeout-to-walk rate is also the best in MiLB...Tong is one of three qualifiers who has not allowed an earned run and his 36 strikeouts are tied for ninth-most in the minors.
