Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (28-24) and Major League rehabber RHP Edwin Díaz continue to face off against the Aberdeen IronBirds (27-26) — the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles — on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

LHP Felipe De La Cruz (3-4, 2.68) is expected to take the hill for the Cyclones. The IronBirds are projected to counter with RHP Edgar Portes (3-0, 2.04).

TURN UP THE TRUMPETS!: RHP Edwin Díaz will be the fifth player to join the Cyclones on a Major League rehab assignment in 2024 on Thursday...C Francisco Alvarez, RHP Drew Smith, RHP Tylor Megill, and RHP Sean Reid-Foley have also appeared on Coney Island this season...The 30-year-old is expected to throw one inning...Díaz was placed on New York's 15-day injured list on May 29 with right shoulder impingement...In 20 relief appearances in 2024, the Puerto Rico native 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA (12 ER in 20.0 IP), five saves, seven walks, and 30 strikeouts...Díaz is a two-time All-Star and has taken home both the American League and National League Reliever of the Year award...The right-hander was acquired by the Mets with 2B Robinson Canó and cash considerations from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for RHP Gerson Bautista, OF Jay Bruce, RHP Justin Dunn, OF Jarred Kelenic, and RHP Anthony Swarzak on December 3, 2018...C Austin Allen has also joined Brooklyn from the Florida Complex League on a minor league rehab assignment...The 30-year-old signed with New York as a minor league free agent on January 16 and has appeared in 57 Major League games between the San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics, hitting .195 (23-118) with two home runs.
