MLB Trade Rumors: Mets To Sign Logan Porter To Major League Deal. "The Mets and catcher Logan Porter are in agreement on a major league deal, according to Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 on X. The deal for the Gaeta Sports Management client is pending a physical. Porter has options and won’t necessarily be added to the active roster, but it appears he’ll get a 40-man spot. The Mets will need to open a spot there to make the move official."

Tim Healey Newsday: "Senga’s next start will most likely be with Triple-A Syracuse (which also returns from its break this weekend), not in the majors, a person familiar with the Mets’ plans said Wednesday."

Tim Healey Newsday: Mets' J.D. Martinez has lots of trade-deadline wisdom to share. "Martinez has been on great teams that did a little something, good teams that did nothing, bad teams that did the obvious. Heck, once upon a time he even was the big piece acquired at the deadline for a club’s playoff push, a thrilling experience he still recalls with a smile."
