PRESS RELEASE: METS OUTFIELDER BRANDON NIMMO TO HOST SANDLOT BASEBALL GAME TODAY, JULY 30

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo and Northwell Health will host a sandlot baseball game on Tuesday, July 30 starting at 12:30 p.m. on the newly renovated Field #11 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Physical therapists from Northwell's Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Services team will lead pre-game stretches with the kids, while Northwell's Tasting Kitchen will be treating participants to healthy post-game snack boxes.

The Amazin' Mets Foundation contributed just below $500,000 to renovate Field #11. This marks the second field renovated by the Foundation at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, after renovating Field #10 in 2023.

Led by the LandTek Group, renovations on Field #11 were recently completed.  Nimmo's sandlot game will mark the opening of the field, which will bring 24 little leaguers together to play ball.

Closest public parking lot is located on 111th Street at 56th Avenue
When: Today, Tuesday, July 30; 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
