Eight weeks after their firing of hitting coach Chili Davis, the Mets have posted nearly identical statistics under his replacement, Hugh Quattlebaum. But the rest has been because nearly every member of the starting lineup has underperformed compared to previous career norms.”

Mets.com: Stat of the day: “Corey Oswalt delivered four shutout innings in relief on Sunday, matching his effort from an August 25 game against the Marlins last summer. He became the first pitcher to provide multiple scoreless relief appearances of at least four innings in his Mets career since Darren Oliver accomplished it four times during the 2006 season.”
