Right now, I think Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez is the best prospect currently in the minor leagues...Alvarez is the youngest of this group by more than six months (still just 20 years old until almost Thanksgiving) and continues to hum right along, demolishing Double-A. 1983 - Dave Kingman cracks a 2-run 2-out home run in the bottom
of the 17th inning to give the Mets a 4 - 2 win over the Expos. Kingman has 3 RBI in the game.
1986: At Shea Stadium‚ Tim Teufel hits a pinch grand slam in the 11th and the Mets beat the Phillies‚ 8 - 4. Teufel had been 0 for 3 as a pinch hitter.
