Mets: Move to 31-18 (.633) in Postseason play at home, the best winning  percentage by any franchise at home in the Postseason.
  • Are 9-7 in the Postseason when facing elimination and 6-4 at home in such games.
  • Six different players drove in at least one run, tied for the second-most by the Mets in a Postseason game (last, Game 3 of the 2006 NLDS at Los Angeles-NL)...Seven different players drove in at least one run in Game 2 of the 1969 NLCS at Atlanta, the most by the Mets in a Postseason game.
  • Drew nine walks, tied for the most in a Postseason game in franchise history (also, Game 5 of the 2000 NLCS vs. St. Louis).

  • Is 4-1 with a 2.90 ERA (10 ER/31.0 IP) five career Postseason starts... Has four wins in the Postseason, tied with Jerry Koosman for the most in franchise history...Has 37 career Postseason strikeouts, fourth-most by a Mets pitcher.
  • Is the first Mets pitcher to win two Postseason elimination games.
Francisco Lindor (2-4, HR, RBI, 2 R, BB): Put the Mets on the board with his sixth career Postseason home run...Was his first Postseason home run since Game 3 of the 2018 ALDS vs. Houston with Cleveland.
  • Is the second Mets shortstop ever to homer in a Postseason game...José Reyes homered in Game 6 of the 2006 NLCS vs. St. Louis.
Brandon Nimmo (3-4, RBI, BB): Lined an RBI single in the fourth...Was the first Met to record at least three hits in a Postseason game since Lucas Duda (3-4, HR, 2B, 5 RBI) and Daniel Murphy (4-5, HR, 2B, 2 RBI) in Game 4 of the 2015 NLCS at Chicago-NL...Is the sixth lead-off hitter in Mets history to have a three-hit game in the Postseason.

Edwin Díaz (1.2 IP, H, BB, K): Threw 1.2 scoreless innings in his Postseason debut. Was his fourth outing of 1.2 or more innings this season and the 15th such game of his career.

Pete Alonso (1-3, HR, RBI, 2 R, BB): Gave the Mets the lead with his first career Postseason homer in the fifth...Has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games against the Padres dating back to 6/4/21 (Including Postseason).

Jeff McNeil (1-4, 2B, 2 RBI): Laced a two-run double in the seventh to extend the Mets lead to 5-2...Is batting .342 (50-146) with runners in scoring position this season (including Postseason).

Daniel Vogelbach (0-0, RBI): Had a pinch-hit sacrifice fly in the seventh, the first pinch-hit RBI by a Met since Juan Uribe's pinch-hit RBI single in Game 3 of the 2015 World Series vs. Kansas City.

Time of Game: At four hours, 13 minutes, this marked the longest nine-inning playoff game in Mets history...The previous longest was NLCS Game 2 at St Louis (3:59).
