Jon Heyman NY Post: Yankees-Mets collusion charges in Judge-deGrom cases don’t hold water. "While Judge is the top free agent, here are a few reasons for the Mets to look elsewhere...They have a greater need in the rotation with three rotation stars currently free agents... The “Steve Cohen tax” is onerous and they will almost certainly move into that unhappy territory even without Judge."

MLB.com: 7 Black Friday deals that just might work - Mets get: 3B Rafael Devers; Red Sox get: 3B Brett Baty (Mets’ No. 2 prospect), RHP Blade Tidwell (No. 8), OF Nick Morabito (No. 14);

MLB Trade Rumors: Rays Interested In Brandon Nimmo. "MLBTR projected Nimmo for a five-year, $110MM deal this winter, which would represent far and away the largest contract the Rays have even given to a free agent.  It would also represent the franchise’s second-largest expenditure on any contract, behind only Wander Franco’s 11-year, $182MM extension.  Since Nimmo rejected the Mets’ qualifying offer, Tampa Bay would also have to give up their third-highest pick in the 2023 draft as compensation for signing the outfielder — no small penalty for a club that relies on building from within."

Abbey Mastracco New York Daily News Mets prioritizing organizational depth in bullpen. "To recap, they made three waiver claims for left-hander Tayler Saucedo and right-handers Stephen Ridings and William Woods, and they acquired another pair of right-handers, Elieser Hernandez and Jeff Brigham, in a trade with the Miami Marlins...they signed left-hander Zach Muckenhirn and right-hander Denyi Reyes to minor league contracts with Major League spring training invitations Thursday... Building depth at the Double-A and Triple-A levels puts the club in position to be ready when the big league depth takes a hit."
