Billy Eppler expresses confidence in the Mets' "strong and deep lineup," but notes that they will continue to look for opportunities:

MLB Trade Rumors:
- Post-Tommy John Players That Could Impact 2023 - Joey Lucchesi...made 56 starts for the Padres in 2018 and 2019 with a 4.14 ERA. He didn’t get much of an opportunity in 2020 and was flipped to the Mets as part of the Joe Musgrove trade. He isn’t one of the club’s five best starters right now, but their rotation features four veterans who are 34 or older...Also, Kodai Senga is making the transition from Japan...The club will surely need to rely on its depth this year at some point, making Lucchesi a key part of the equation.
NY Post:
- Billy Eppler: Mets’ lineup strong— even without Carlos Correa.
- Mets continue looking to upgrade in outfield and bullpen. “I am still engaged in the market, talking to representation, both in the outfield and the bullpen spot, so still active,” general manager Billy Eppler said Tuesday on a Zoom call when asked about both spots. “Whether anything actually comes to fruition remains to be seen, but definitely still having the conversations.”
