 The Brooklyn Cyclones (18-22) attempt to secure a series victory against the Winston-Salem Dash (24-17) — the High-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox — on Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. from Maimonides Park.

RHP Christian Scott (0-0, 4.66) — the Mets’ No. 26 prospect per Baseball America — is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Winston-Salem’s RHP Andrew Dalquist (0-3, 7.08).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn captured their 7th win in 9 games with a 3-2 walk-off win vs. Winston-Salem on Friday...2B Chase Estep started the bottom of the 9th with a triple and scored on 1B José Mena’s game-winning single to left...The Dash jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 2 innings...Cyclones tied it on a single and error off the bat of CF Alex Ramírez in the 3rd and a double by Mena in the 4th...Mena finished with 2 hits and RBI...Estep and SS Kevin Kendall added multi-hit games for Brooklyn...RHP Jeffrey Colón tossed a season-high-tying 6.2 innings and struck out a career-best 9...LHP Quinn Brodey and RHP Jace Beck combined to hurl 2.1 frames of hitless relief. 

 

TUNE-UP TIME: C Omar Narváez joined the Cyclones on a Major League rehab assignment on Thursday...He went 0-for-1 in his initial game with a walk and a strikeout, playing a scheduled 5 innings...The 31-year-old landed on the Mets’ 10-day injured list on April 7 (retro 4/6) with a left calf strain...Narváez was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 4...In 5 games with New York, the Maraçay, Venezuela native was 4-for-14 with the bat (.286), adding a pair of RBI...Narváez has appeared in 605 Major League games, slashing .258/.343/.385 and a .728 OPS with the Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, and Chicago White Sox...He was named a National League All-Star with Milwaukee in 2021...Narváez last played on Coney Island with the Hudson Valley Renegades in 2013, when both were members of the New York-Penn League...He was 1-for-8 with 3 strikeouts in 2 games. 

 

WALK (OFF) ON THE WILD SIDE: 1B José Mena’s game-winning single in the bottom of the 9th on Friday provided Brooklyn its 4th walk-off win of 2023...1B Chase Estep delivered a game-ending, bases-loaded walk in the 11th on Opening Day vs. Jersey Shore...LF Alex Ramírez registered a walk-off RBI single in the 11th vs. Wilmington on April 22 and LF Omar De Los Santos provided a game-winning single in the 10th vs. Aberdeen...The Cyclones have at least 1 walk-off win in each home series this year...Brooklyn garnered 4 walk-off wins through the entirety of the 2022 campaign. 

 

JEFE JEFFREY: RHP Jeffrey Colón matched his team season-high with 6.2 innings of 2-run ball in a no-decision on Friday night...The 23-year-old also matched a career-best with 9 strikeouts...That equaled his total from last August 28 at Jersey Shore...In his last 2 home starts, Colón has hurled 13.1 innings, allowing just 3 runs on 9 hits...The Las Matas de Farfán, D.R. native has a 2.03 ERA and permitted only 3 walks, and punched out 16 in that span.
