Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

 The Brooklyn Cyclones (20-25) will try and return to the win column against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (24-21) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. from ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, N.J.

RHP Jeffrey Colón (0-2, 7.28) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Jersey Shore’s LHP Matt Osterberg (1-2, 4.45).

UP TO PAR-ADA: C Kevin Parada extended his hitting streak to 5 games with a knock in both ends of Wednesday’s doubleheader...The 21-year-old is 7-for-his-last-18 (.389) with a run scored, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and a pair of walks...He is tied with Greenville’s INF Blaze Jordan for 3rd in the SAL in doubles (13)...Only Winston-Salem OF Wilfred Veras (20) and Hudson Valley OF Spencer Jones (15) have collected more...In May, Parada was tied for 3rd in the circuit in two-baggers (9) and tied for 4th in the league in extra-base hits (12). 

 

RAMÍ ROCKETS: OF Alex Ramírez has reached base safely in 12-straight games since May 18...In that time, the 20-year-old is slashing .256/.373/.419 with a .791 OPS...Ramírez has 6 runs scored, 4 doubles, a home run, 6 RBI, and 8 walks in those contests...Since joining Brooklyn’s roster on July 4 of last year, Ramírez leads the South Atlantic League in hits (103), doubles (25), and total bases (154)...He only trails teammate OF Stanley Consuegra (36) in extra-base hits (34) and Jersey Shore 1B Rixon Wingrove (60) in RBI (57). 

 

MATEO MASH: INF Mateo Gil has reached base safely in 10 of his last 11 games dating back to May 17 at Hudson Valley...While the 22-year-old is slashing only .235/.366/.559, he has registered an impressive .925 OPS in that time...Gil is 8-for-34 at the plate (.235) with 6 runs scored, 2 doubles, 3 home runs, and 9 RBI adding 6 walks and a hit-by-pitch...Since that date, Gil is tied for the South Atlantic League lead in home runs (3)...The former 3rd-round pick also leads Brooklyn in RBI (9) and OPS (.925) during that stretch (min. 15 PA).
