The Brooklyn Cyclones (27-35) return home to open up a two-week homestand, starting with six games against the Hudson Valley Renegades (37-26) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island. 

RHP Joander Suárez (2-4, 7.68) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Hudson Valley’s RHP Tyrone Yulie (2-4, 4.69).

NEW TO THE BOARDWALK: Brooklyn made a series of roster moves prior to Tuesday’s series opener...RHP Joey Lancellotti and INF Junior Tilien joined the squad from Single-A St. Lucie...OF Abraham Almonte was added to the roster on a minor league rehab assignment...INF César Berbesi and RHP Kolby Kubichek were placed on the 7-day injured list...Lancellotti has tallied a 2.57 ERA (2 ER in 7.0) with a save for St. Lucie in June and holds a 5.18 ERA (14 ER in 24.1 IP) with 29 strikeouts for the entire campaign...Tilien slashed .251/.339/.417 with a .756 OPS in 57 games...The 20-year-old had 22 extra-base hits, 6 home runs, and 32 RBI...Almonte appeared in 11 MiLB games in 2023 between St. Lucie and Triple-A Syracuse...The 33-year-old is 4-for-32 at the plate (.125) with 2 home runs and 4 RBI. 

 

LOVE THE DRAKE!: C Drake Osborn posted a career-best performance in Saturday’s win at Aberdeen...The 24-year-old tallied a professional-high-tying 3 hits and collected his 1st career multi-home run game...Osborn added a season-best 4 RBI, as well...His 1st 3-hit night came on April 30, 2022, with Single-A St. Lucie vs. Daytona...The multi-home run performance was the first by a Cyclone since RF Alex Ramírez blasted two long balls on July 31, 2022, at Hudson Valley...Osborn is the first ‘Clone to record 2+ home runs, 3+ hits, and 4+ RBI in a single game since DH Brett Baty (3/4, 2 HR, 4 RBI) accomplished the feat on June 3, 2021, at Jersey Shore...3 of Osborn’s last 4 hits have been home runs and 4 of his last 6 have left the ballpark, as well...He holds a 133 wRC+ and .382 ISO since being reinstated from the injured list on June 2...Osborn is tied for the team lead in home runs with 6...This is despite having 40 fewer plate appearances than INF Mateo Gil (6 HR/131 PA), 56 fewer than OF Stanley Consuegra (5 HR/147 PA), 151 fewer than OF Alex Ramírez (5 HR/242 PA) and C Kevin Parada (5 HR/242 PA).
