Tidwell (4-3, 3.83) — the Mets’ No. 7 prospect per Baseball America —
is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Jersey Shore’s RHP Gunner

winning streak at Hudson Valley on May 17, the Cyclones’ pitching staff has,
statistically, been the most dominant in Minor League Baseball...Entering
Friday, Brooklyn has posted a MiLB-low 2.57 ERA (96 ER in 336.0 IP) over their
last 39 games, holding a 21-18 record in that span...The Yankees’ High-A Hudson
Valley (2.79) is 2nd in the minors...The Cyclones have hurled 5 shutouts in
that span and hold a strikeout rate of 27.8% and a walk rate of
11.8%...Additionally, Brooklyn pitching has permitted the fewest home runs (10)

BLADE RUNNER: RHP Blade Tidwell is in
the midst of his best stretch of baseball in 2023...The 22-year-old has tossed
consecutive quality starts dating back to last Saturday at Aberdeen...Tidwell
has earned the win in both outings, permitting just 1 run on 7 hits over 13.0
innings...He has walked 4 and struck out 15 in those contests...He tied a
career-best with 10 strikeouts on June 11 vs. Greenville...Tidwell also whiffed
10 on May 4 vs. Aberdeen...Over his last 7 starts dating back to May 17 at
Hudson Valley, Tidwell is 4-0 with a 1.35 ERA (5 ER in 33.1 IP) with just 17
hits allowed...The Loretto, Tenn. native has walked 24 and struck out 48 (12.96

career-highs in innings pitched (7.2) and strikeouts (11), in his previous
start on June 22 vs. Hudson Valley...The 23-year-old was the first Cyclone to
record 11+ strikeouts in a single game since RHP Carson Seymour accomplished
the feat on July 15, 2022, vs. Greensboro...Stuart was also the first Brooklyn
arm to work into the 8th inning since RHP Conner Grey tossed 8.1 innings
vs. Jersey Shore on July 16, 2021...The Southern Miss alum was the first
Cyclone to work 7.0+ innings and record 10+ strikeouts in a single game since
LHP Kevin Canelon whiffed 10 over 8.0 frames at Hudson Valley on August
25, 2015...Stuart leads all qualifiers in the SAL, High-A, and all of Minor League Baseball
in ERA (1.42)...Wilmington’s LHP Jake Bennett (1.77) is 2nd in the
minors...The Kankakee, Ill. native leads the league in LOB% (89.1%), is 2nd in
FIP (3.03), 4th in xFIP (3.39), WHIP (1.06), batting average against (.206),
and innings pitched (69.2), 5th in strikeouts (79), 8th in strikeout rate
(28.4%), 9th in strikeouts-per-9 innings (10.21), 10th in walk rate (7.9%),
CAPTAIN KEVIN: C Kevin Parada has
picked up the pace offensively over the last few weeks...Dating back to June 6
