READING, PA – The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (25-28) fell to the Reading Fightin Phils 2-1 in 10 innings on Friday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. Carlos De La Cruz’ walk-off RBI single in the tenth was the difference in the game.

De La Cruz drove in both Reading (21-32) runs. In the third, his RBI single tied the game at one. In the tenth, with runners on second and third with two out, his single drove home the game-winning run from third.

The Rumble Ponies got on the board first on a Jose Peroza solo homer in the second inning over the high wall in center field against Reading starter Mick Abel. It is Peroza’s seventh home run of the season.

Binghamton starter Luis Moreno allowed just one run over a season-high seven innings. He issued only two walks and tied a season-high with seven strikeouts in the no decision. Daniel Juarez allowed only one hit and did not allow an earned run over two and a third innings of relief.
