Binghamton chipped away with two home runs in the fifth inning. Jaylen Palmer tallied the first hit of his Double-A career with a leadoff solo home run in the frame, which cut the deficit to 4-2. Later in the inning, Jose Peroza hit his 10th home run of the season with a solo shot to left, which made it 4-3.

Both bullpens allowed two hits and one walk with four strikeouts, respectively.
