LHP Eli Ankeney (2-0, 0.96) is scheduled to make his first professional start for Brooklyn against Jersey Shore’s RHP Zach Haake (NR).

TURNING THE TIDE: RHP Blade Tidwell is in the midst of his best stretch of baseball in 2023...The 22-year-old has tossed 3-straight quality starts dating back to June 17 at Aberdeen...Tidwell has earned the win in all 3 outings, permitting just 2 runs on 10 hits over 20.0 innings...He has walked only 4 (5.6 BB%) and struck out 26 (36.6 K%) in those contests...He whiffed a career-high and team-season-best-matching 11 on Friday vs. Jersey Shore...This comes after tied a then-career-best with 10 strikeouts on June 11 vs. Greenville...Tidwell also whiffed 10 on May 4 vs. Aberdeen...Over his last 8 starts dating back to May 17 at Hudson Valley, Tidwell is 5-0 with a 1.34 ERA (6 ER in 40.1 IP) with just 20 hits allowed...The Loretto, Tenn. native has walked 24 and struck out 59 (36.6 K%)...Tidwell’s holding opponents to a meager .146 batting average (20-137) against him...Tidwell leads the South Atlantic League in batting average against (.146) and is 2nd in strikeouts (59) and 3rd in ERA (1.34) since that date (min. 30.0 IP)...On the season, the Loretto, Tenn. native is 2nd in the SAL in batting average against (.185), tied for 2nd in strikeouts (86), and 4th in wins (5).
