allowed four hits and issued three walks, while striking out seven batters.
DaisonAcosta and Dedniel Núñez were lights out in relief. They combined to throw four
perfect innings with four strikeouts. Acosta came in with two runners on base
and no outs in the sixth and retired the first three hitters he faced. Núñez
struck out three batters, including Cristopher Navarro to end the game.
Binghamton
took the lead in the first inning when Brandon McIlwain grounded out and drove
in Wyatt Young to make it 1-0.
The
Ponies added three more runs in the fourth inning. Jose Peroza led off the
inning with a walk and McIlwain followed by getting hit by a pitch. With two on
and no outs, Agustin Ruiz smoked a two-run double to give Binghamton a 3-0
lead. Later in the inning, Jose Mena hit into a two-base error that allowed
Ruiz to score to make it 4-0.
Hartford
(3-2, 32-40) scraped across a run against Moreno in the sixth inning. Yanquiel
Fernandez led off with a walk and Jack Blomgren was then hit by a pitch. Julio
Carreras was the next batter and drove in Fernandez with an RBI double to make
it 4-1.
