Report: Mets Sign Relief Pitcher Austin Adams

According to Anthony DiComo on X/Twitter, the New York Mets have signed relief pitcher Austin Adams to a one year deal.  

The 32 year old Adams pitched last year for the Arizona Diamondbacks going 0-1 with a 5.71 ERA in 24 games, 17.1 innings.  He fractured his right ankle in August, spending the remainder of the season on the IL.

Adams had his best year in 2021 when he went 3-2 with a 4.10 ERA while appearing in 65 games for San Diego, 76 Ks in 52.2 innings.
