Baseball Prospectus posted their top 101 prospect list. 5 Mets were included - Jett Williams #23, Drew Gilbert #29; Ryan Clifford #76; Luisangel Acuna #77; Christian Scott #88. (Subscription required).
Baseball Prospectus: Top 101: The Next Ten. Marco Vargas is one of the ten - "He’s shown exceptionally strong contact markers along with pretty good plate discipline at the complex levels, and while he’s never going to be a huge power threat, he does enough damage for an 18-year-old. Given that he’s a capable middle infielder, if more likely at second base than at shortstop, that’s often a skill set which lands somewhere towards the bottom of the 101..."(Subscription required).
Baseball Prospectus: Candidates for the 2025 Top 101. Jeremy Rodriguez, SS, New York Mets. Rodriguez looked like a future star in the Dominican Summer League last year. His bat-to-ball and swing decisions were years and years ahead of his age cohort; he turned 17 after the DSL season began. Traded at the deadline for Tommy Pham, the former seven-figure IFA certainly looks the part of a future power hitter with a projectable frame and loose lefty swing, although he’s extremely young and the in-game damage hasn’t totally shown up yet..." We've traded outfielder Cooper Hummel to San Francisco for cash considerations.

- Here's the 411 on Polar Bear's contract "While it’s possible the Mets extend Alonso before [he becomes a free agent], it doesn’t seem likely. The team has little incentive to take on the added risk of locking him up a year early, while Alonso has lots of incentive to bet on himself, put together a monster 2024 and cash in next winter."
