3/24/2024 Roster Moves - Vientos to AAA, Zack Short makes team

 

David Stearns held a press conference this morning to announce that Mark Vientos has been optioned to AAA and that Zack Short has made the team.

He also noted that Ji-Man Choi and Jose Iglesias did not make the team.  No word yet if they will opt out or report to Triple-A.

First baseman Jiman Choi did not exercise the opt-out clause in his minor league deal, per source. He will report to Triple-A Syracuse and remain part of the Mets organization.
