Funny enough, Christian Scott first learned how to throw his slider when, one day in college, he was scrolling through @PitchingNinja's feed: https://t.co/fGr7rCm91L https://t.co/ijAxZZIdHb

Christian Scott really acquitted himself well this spring. Brought back from the Minor League side for a start today, Scott struck out seven Marlins over four innings. He topped out at 97 mph got got seven fastball whiffs.

You're likely to see Scott at some point this summer.

Not the best angle, but Mike Vasil looked sharp on the back fields today. Commanded his slider and changeup really well, plenty of whiffs and early weak contact. pic.twitter.com/st6VUQX2mW

Yesterday the Mets moved the following Minor League Players to the IL:
- The the 60 Day injured list: RHP Dylan Tebrake; RHP Matt Allan; RHP Raimon Gomez; RHP Robert Dominguez; RHP Zebulon Vermillion; RHP Chris Santiago; RHP Ricardo Baptist; RHP Jean Calderon;
- The full-season injured list; RHP Jace Beck; LHP Eli Ankeney; RHP John Valle; RHP Landon Marceaux; LHP Luis R. Rodriguez; RHP Brian Metoyer;
- Megill earns last spot in finalized Mets rotation "Megill quickly emerged as the obvious candidate to step into the rotation for three reasons. One was his overall longer body of work in the Majors...Two was his performance down the stretch last season, when Megill produced a 2.55 ERA over his final six starts. Three was the quality of Megill’s stuff in Grapefruit League play, including a fastball that topped out at 97 mph and his continued development of a splitter."
- 'Full-circle moment': Scott fans 7 in old cheering grounds
- Injuries & Moves: Mets cut Jose Buttó, C Hayden Senger "In optioning Buttó, the Mets cleared the way for Tylor Megill to start the season in their rotation. Buttó will open at Triple-A Syracuse but could return as soon as the second full week of the season, should the Mets opt to use a sixth starter for a stretch of 13 games in 13 days."
