The Brooklyn Cyclones (18-14) will try and secure a series victory in their series finale against the Rome Emperors (16-14) — the High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves — on Sunday at 1 p.m. from AdventHealth Stadium in Rome, Ga.

LHP Felipe De La Cruz (1-3, 2.36) is expected to take the ball in his second start of the week for the Cyclones. The Emperors are projected to counter with the Braves’ No. 16 farmhand per Baseball America, RHP Lucas Braun (1-1, 7.15).

DOUBLE-DIGIT DOUGLAS: RHP Douglas Orellana set a personal and team season-high with 10 strikeouts on Saturday afternoon at Rome...The 22-year-old did not allow a run on two hits and walked just one...It was the second double-digit strikeout game of Orellana's career...The Caraças, Venezuela native punched out a career-high 11 over four frames in Game 2 of a doubleheader for the Florida Complex League Mets on July 14, 2022...Orellana is the first Cyclone to strike out 10+ hitters in a single game since RHP Robert Colina punched out 10 in six innings in a win at Greenville on September 2, 2023...The right-hander enters play on Sunday tied for ninth in the South Atlantic League in strikeouts (35).
