Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (24-21) hit the road to start a six-game series against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (25-20) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. from ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, N.J.

RHP Kade Morris (1-0, 1.50) — the New York Mets’ No. 21 prospect per Baseball America, is expected to take the hill for the Cyclones. The BlueClaws are projected to counter with RHP Jean Cabrera (3-2, 3.48).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn fell in its series finale against Hudson Valley on Sunday, 42...Despite the loss, the Cyclones received strong outings from both RHP Jonah Tong in a scheduled abbreviated start (2.0 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 3 K), and RHP Drew Smith - on major-league rehab (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K)...The Renegades broke a 2-2 tie in the ninth on a throwing error by 3B William Lugo that plated a pair...Gilbert Gomez's squad did bring the winning run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, but C Carlos Oviedo struck out looking with men on the corners to end the ballgame.

CLEAN SWEEP: Brooklyn dominated the weekly South Atlantic League Awards, taking home a pair of accolades thanks to two individual performances against Hudson Valley...LHP Felipe De La Cruz grabbed SAL Pitcher of the Week, while INF Nick Lorusso was named the SAL Player of the Week for the Week of May 21-26...De La Cruz, who just celebrated his 23rd birthday on Sunday, logged a career-high 13 strikeouts over six shutout innings...He walked only one batter while surrendering only two hits...On the other hand, Lorusso logged multi-hit games in three of four games played in the series...The 23-year-old slashed a stellar .500/.588/1.286 with a whopping 1.874 OPS...He clobbered a triple and three home runs, two of which came last Thursday...The sweep of weekly league awards is the first for the Cyclones since moving to the full-season level in 2021...LHP Gunnar Kines and OF José Miguel Medina were the last to accomplish the feat, winning New York-Penn League Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for July 10-16, 2017.

HOME COOKING: The Cyclones enter their series against Jersey Shore with a 16-8 record at Maimonides Park, but an 8-13 record in opposing ballparks...So far in 2024, Brooklyn is a perfect 4-0 in home series...The 'Clones haven't lost a home series since Hudson Valley took four of six from August 15-20, 2023...Brooklyn holds the ninth-best home ERA (2.62) in Minor League Baseball...Chicago-AL's Birmingham (2.01) has the lowest mark in MiLB...In visiting parks, the Cyclones' ERA is 4.70.
