Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (26-22) continue their road trip against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (26-22) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Friday at 7:05 p.m. from ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood, N.J.

RHP Douglas Orellana (0-0, 1.06) is expected to take the hill for the Cyclones. The BlueClaws are projected to counter with the RHP Eiberson Castellano (2-2, 3.78).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn bested Jersey Shore, 9-6, on Thursday night...Celebrating his 21st birthday, 2B Jefrey De Los Santos smashed an RBI double in the second and added a two-run home run in the third...He finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk...1B Mateo Gil picked up a season-high three hits and drove in a pair on separate RBI doubles...RF Nick Morabito was on base three times, picking up a double, a single, a walk, and a run batted in...The 21-year-old added an outfield assist in the fifth inning...RHP Jawilme Ramírez scattered seven hits and allowed just one run over a season-high 5.0 innings for his second win...CF Justin Crawford was a double shy of the cycle for Jersey Shore, going 3-for-4 with a triple and a grand slam in the sixth.

 

DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME: Including Friday, 18 games are remaining in the First Half of the South Atlantic League season...The Cyclones are currently tied for second in the North Division with Jersey Shore...Brooklyn is three games back of first-place Greensboro...The Grasshoppers hold the lead in the division even though they will not play an in-division opponent until the BlueClaws travel to North Carolina next week...So far, Greensboro has played just six games against teams with a record of .500 or better, holding a 2-4 mark.
