Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (20-25, 53-58) continue their series against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (20-24, 51-59) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — at 6:35 p.m. on Friday from Judy Johnson Field at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, Del.

LHP Zach Thornton (0-1, 4.26) is expected to get the ball for Brooklyn. The Blue Rocks are projected to counter with RHP Seth Shuman (1-0, 4.44)

Live coverage on the Bally Live app, MiLB.tv, and Cyclones Radio Network will begin 15 minutes before the first pitch at 6:20 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn's three-game winning streak was snapped in a 6-4 loss at Wilmington on Wednesday...The Blue Rocks jumped out a 3-0 lead in the first before the Cyclones rallied for four runs in the fifth to take the lead on a two-run LF Chris Suero single...Wilmington regained the lead in the bottom half on a two-run fielding error and never relinquished the advantage...Suero and 2B D'Andre Smith each posted multi-hit games for Brooklyn...1B Roismar Quintana registered a team-high three hits for the Blue Rocks, while RF Jared McKenzie tallied two knocks and two RBI.

 

THIS DATE IN CYCLONES' HISTORY: On August 16, 2005, 3B Matthew Anderson delivered a game-tying solo home run with one out in the ninth before RF Jesús Gamero provided the walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th in a 3-2 win vs. New Jersey...In 2007, 1B Lucas Duda started his franchise-record 17-game hit streak with a 1-for-4 performance, adding two runs scored and a RBI in a 7-1 win vs. Hudson Valley...In 2018, the Cyclones and Vermont Lake Monsters played a scoreless game into extra innings...Down a run entering the bottom of the 10th, Brooklyn walked off with a 2-1 win thanks to a bunt single and throwing error off the bat of 3B Chandler Avant.

EXTRA!: The Cyclones' offense picked up 7 extra-base hits in Thursday's 8-5 win at Wilmington...The 7 extra-base knocks (6 doubles and a home run) were the most for Brooklyn in a single game since tallying 8 (6 doubles and 2 home runs) in an 8-5 win at Jersey Shore on August 25, 2022...Since 2005, the Cyclones' record for extra-base hits in a game is 10, accomplished on June 24 and July 10, 2010 vs. Hudson Valley and State College, respectively...The 6 doubles in Thursday's game were a season-high for the club and the most since that 6-double performance on August 25, 2022, at Jersey Shore...The franchise mark since 2005 is 7, accomplished three times, most recently on August 3, 2015, at Lowell.
