The Brooklyn Cyclones (15-21, 48-54) return home to open a six-game series against the Hudson Valley Renegades (19-16, 52-48) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — at 7 p.m. on Tuesday from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Jack Wenninger (0-1, 3.78) — the New York Mets’ No. 27 prospect per Baseball America — is expected to get the ball for the Cyclones. The Renegades are projected to counter with LHP Kyle Carr (0-6, 5.61), the Yankees’ No. 11 farmhand per MLB Pipeline.

MartÃnez (6.1 IP) and Jeff Kaplan (2.2) combined on a three-hit shutout in Brooklyn's 7-0 win at Lowell...In 2010, RF Cory Vaughn hit a game-tying two-run home run with the Cyclones trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth...In the 11th, DH Joe Bonfe provided a walk-off solo home run in a 5-4 win vs. Batavia...In 2019, CF Jake Mangum delivered the game-tying single and LF Antoine Duplantis collected the game-winning single to erase a 1-0 deficit in a, 2-1, walk-off win vs. Hudson Valley.
ROSTER MOVES: RHP Dakota Hawkins rejoined the Cyclones from Double-A Binghamton, while RHP Alfred Vega was added from Single-A St. Lucie on Monday...Hawkins jumped up to Binghamton on July 29 and made two appearances last week for the Rumble Ponies...The 24-year-old suffered the loss in a start last Tuesday and allowed four runs in 4.0 innings, walking three and striking out three in the two outings...Vega made three appearances with St. Lucie after being assigned on July 20...The 23-year-old went 0-1 with a 20.25 ERA (6 ER in 2.2 IP), no walks, and five strikeouts...All six runs came in one appearance...Vega was signed by the New York Mets as a minor league free agent on June 3 after spending the first seven years of his career in the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles organizations...OF Sebastian Castro and RHP Jimmy Loper were also released from the Cyclones roster by the New York Mets on Monday.
