The New York Mets have announced the following roster moves via the transaction tab on the Syracuse Mets Roster Page:
10/21/24 2B Pablo Reyes elected free agency.
10/21/24 2B Eddy Alvarez elected free agency.
10/21/24 C Joe Hudson elected free agency.
All three players saw time with the Mets in 2024. Eddy Alvarez saw the most - 12 games mostly as a late game defensive replacement at 2B. He also saw time at SS and pitched a scoreless inning in a blow out.
All three players were acquired during the season to give the Mets veteran depth at AAA. It is possible we will see them again next year on Minor League deals to fulfill the same role.
