11/21/24: Mets Roster Moves - Mets sign Joey Meneses and RHP Hobie Harris

 

According to Mets Beat Writers on X, the New York Mets have signed Joey Meneses and RHP Hobie Harris to minor league deals.  

Jon Heyman had the news on Joey Meneses while Anthony DiComo reported on Hobie Harris. 

Joey Meneses spent the last three years splitting time in AAA and Washington.  Before that he saw time in the minors with Philadelphia, Atlanta and Boston.  According to FanGraphs, he has two minor league options left.  Last year for Washington in 76 games, he hit 3 Homers, 42 RBIs.231/.291/.303.  This Winter in the Mexican Pacific League he has 7 HRs, 32 RBIs, .347/.433/.624.

Hobie Harris spent all of 2024 in AAA for Minnesota, 44 games - all in relief, 4 wins, 6 losses, 6.79 ERA, 62 Ks, 31 walks in 54.1 innings.  FanGraphs has two minor league options left for him as well.  

In 2023 with the Nationals Hobie appeared in 16 games19.1 innings, 9 Ks, 5.12 ERA.  According to Baseball Savant, he used three pitches touching 94.1 with his fastball.
