FLUSHING, N.Y., December 5, 2024 – The New York Mets and Coca-Cola are teaming up with Celebrity Chef Adam Richman to provide local restaurants the opportunity to be featured at Citi Field during the 2025 season.
For the past three seasons both the New York Mets and Coca-Cola have been dedicated to highlighting local vendors/restaurants through both the "Taste of Queens" and the "Coca-Cola Food Truck" experiences. The team is now accepting applications from local businesses to be part of Citi Field's award-winning cuisine roster for the 2025 season.
Taste of Queens, located in centerfield, will feature two Queens local restaurants. The Coca-Cola Food Truck, located in Coca-Cola Corner will feature two restaurants form the greater NY Metro. These restaurants will switch mid-season.
As part of the application process, the Mets are asking for businesses to share their story on why they should be added to Citi Field's menu offerings for a limited time. Applications will be open until Wednesday, Dec. 18.
"The goal of the Taste of Queens and the Coca-Cola Food Truck is to celebrate the local community by providing exposure for some of the best restaurants we are lucky enough to have right here in our backyard," said James Benesh, Vice President, Ballpark Experience. "The last couple of years we were able to highlight some incredible local small businesses and are looking forward to delighting our fans with new offerings in 2025."
"I'm excited to be a part of the culinary selection process for the 2025 season," said Adam Richman, who will be returning with a stand of his own at Citi Field in 2025. "Taste of Queens and the Coca-Cola Food Truck are great examples of how both organizations are truly part of the community and extend their reach beyond the walls of Citi Field. I can't wait to connect with the nominees and help elevate these hard working local businesses."
"Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages is excited to continue to support local restaurants from the communities we serve and highlight them at Citi Field. Our partnership with Taste of Queens provides another way for our brands to enhance the overall gameday food and beverage experience," Mike Nelson, Commercial Director, Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages.
The Mets, who were named the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest for Best Stadium Food in 2023 and Best Ballpark Food in 2024, debuted the Taste of Queens stand in 2023 on the Field Level Concourse. Since its inception, fans have shared in the love of great, local food that they wouldn't otherwise get the chance to try.
