    • For the fifth time in franchise history and for the first time in 10 seasons, the Mets have won their first five games at home (also: 1985, 1988, 2005  and 2015).
    • Mets pitchers have collected 106 strikeouts this season, which is tied for the sixth-most strikeouts through the team’s first 11 games in a season (117K in 2018, 114 K in 2021, 113 K in 2022, 111 K in 2019, 108 K in 2024, 106 K in 2020).
    • Mets pitchers combined for a season-high 14 strikeouts.
    • Recorded a season-high 13 hits.
  • Clay Holmes: Earned his first career win as a Met...Recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts...Struck out five straight batters starting at his final batter of the third inning until the first batter he faced in the fifth.
  • Hayden Senger (2-4, 2 R): Recorded his first career multi-hit game and his first career multi-run game.
  • Pete Alonso
    • Doubled home a run in the third inning and evened the score at two...Cleared the bases with a three-run double in the sixth inning...He now has eight extra-base hits this season, tied for the third-most in the majors.
    • Scored his 500th career run on Marte’s two-run single in the fifth...Is one of 12 players in franchise history with 500 or more runs.

  • Brandon Nimmo: Drove in two with a bases loaded double in the fifth inning to put the Mets in front 4-2.
  • Starling Marte: Reached base four times...Hit a two-run single in the fifth inning to push the Mets lead to 6-2
  • Francisco Lindor (1-4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R): Led off the first inning with a solo home run to right field to cut the Mets deficit to 2-1...Has recorded a leadoff hit in five straight games, the longest such streak by a Met since José Reyes’ seven leadoff hits from June 25 - July 2, 2011...Courtesy of Sarah Langs...Has hit safely in his last seven games and is batting .346 (9-26) during that span.
Newsday: Pete Alonso's three-run double breaks open Mets' victory over Marlins as winning streak reaches six. "It’s nit-picking, for sure. But the two things that the Mets could have stood to improve upon after they went 7-3 in the first 10 games of the season going into Tuesday were length from the starting pitchers and punch from the offense. Consider one mission accomplished: The Mets tied their high run total for the season en route to their sixth straight win, a 10-5 pasting of the Marlins before an announced crowd of 28,861 at frigid, windswept Citi Field."

NY Post: Pete Alonso makes Marlins pay for Juan Soto decision as Mets break away for sixth straight win. "Alonso said he was just focused on his game plan, but he certainly seemed to take it personally when the Marlins intentionally walked Soto to load the bases in Tuesday’s sixth inning...Two pitches later, Alonso drilled a three-run double that fired up the club’s dugout on a frigid day and provided all the insurance the Mets would need in a 10-5 win in front of an announced attendance (and certainly not an actual attendance at a mostly empty Citi Field) of 28,861 teeth-chattering fans."

Brian Joura Mets360: "Clay Holmes started for the Mets and pitched much better than his final line indicated. He allowed two runs in the first inning, done in by a wind-blown hit and two walks. A normal game, Juan Soto catches that ball and no runs score."

Peter Sblendorio NY Daily News: Pete Alonso’s bases-clearing double after intentional walk to Juan Soto fuels Mets’ win over Marlins. "Alonso now ranks second in the National League and third in the majors with 15 RBI. He has benefited from hitting behind Soto, whose .438 on-base percentage has meant more RBI opportunities."

Steve Serby NY Post Sports +: Juan Soto’s influence already wowing Mets — even while he’s not at his best. “The thing that I really benefit from is just seeing — ’cause he sees a ton of pitches — and just kinda seeing what they’re doing to him obviously helps,” Alonso said. “They’re trying to stay away from the middle of the zone with him, and I can kinda take some mental notes with that.” (subscription required)

NY Post: Mets’ Jeff McNeil, Francisco Alvarez set to take next step in respective rehabs."Both Jeff McNeil (oblique) and Francisco Alvarez (hamate bone) were scheduled to head to Port St. Lucie on Tuesday after hitting outside at Citi Field before the Mets’ 10-5 win over the Marlins on Tuesday."
