From the Mets 10 Guardians 9 - Post Game Notes:
- Mets: Earned their second walk-off win in their last three games and their second ever against Cleveland (Last: August 21, 2019)...Moved back to .500 for the first time since they were 17-17 on May 6...Overcame a four-run deficit, marking their largest comeback of the season...Have homered three or more times in three consecutive games for the first time since August 7-10, 2019...The Mets are 13-2 in extra innings since the start of 2022...Their .867 win percentage is the best in MLB in that span.
- Pete Alonso (1-5, HR, 4 RBI, R): Hit a game-tying grand slam in the seventh, the third of his career...Has homered in a career-high-tying four straight games (also August 5-9, 2019)...Is one game shy of tying Richard Hidalgo's franchise-high regular season home run streak of five games...Joins Todd Hundley (April 26, 1995) and Carl Everett (September 13, 1997) as the only other players in franchise history to hit a game-tying grand slam...Tied Lucas Duda for the most home runs hit at Citi Field in the ballpark's history with 71.

- Francisco Lindor (3-6, 2B, RBI, 2 R): Drove in the winning run with a single up the middle in the tenth inning, fifth career walk-off RBI...Smoked a double off the wall in left center in the fifth inning, his first hit against his former team...Lindor now has 15 doubles on the season, tied for third in the majors, second in the NL.
Brian Joura Mets360: For the second time in three days, the Mets rallied to tie the game and force extra innings. And just like that previous time, the Mets allowed two runs in the top of the 10th. And just like before, the Mets scored three runs in the bottom of the inning to earn the walk-off win. Francisco Lindor had the game-winning hit, giving the Mets the 10-9 win over the Guardians Friday night at Citi Field.
NY Post: Pete Alonso resurrected the Mets with a grand slam in the seventh inning that tied the score at 7-7. It was the fourth straight game with a homer for Alonso, who got so excited that while running between first and second base he turned backward and placed both hands on his head.

National Pastime.com: Mets center fielder Angel Pagan initiates the tenth triple play in franchise history when he snags Nationals' Cristian Guzman's sinking liner with first and second base occupied. After making a catch that totally surprises baserunners, the outfielder overthrows the infield, but catcher Henry Blanco takes the errant toss and throws the ball to Jose Reyes at second base to double off Livan Hernandez, who relays the ball to first baseman Ike Davis to triple up Nyjer Morgan, making it the first 8-2-6-3 triple killing in major league history.
NY Post: "Angel Pagan hit an inside-the-park home run and started a triple play Wednesday night, but that wasn’t enough for the New York Mets in a 5-3 loss to the Washington Nationals. Pagan became the first player in 55 years to take part in both feats in the same game. Pinch-hitter Adam Kennedy’s sacrifice fly broke a 2-all tie in the seventh."
