Syracuse, NY - Syracuse Mets infielder Gosuke Katoh has been named the International League Player of the Week for the week of July 4-July 11. Katoh hit .435 (10-for-23) with eight RBIs, four home runs, three doubles, and a .519 on-base percentage at Buffalo.
This is the third time this season that a Syracuse player has won a weekly league award. Daniel Palka was named the International League Player of the Week for the week of June 13-June 19 and Travis Blankenhorn was the International League Player of the Week for June 20-June 26.
This is the first time that Katoh has won a weekly league award.
