After the NY Post had an article that the Mets were "gaining momentum toward Carlos Correa deal", it was reported that: "Carlos Correa’s camp renewed contact with at least another interested team or two beyond the Mets on Thursday as negotiations over proposed contract language changes in the agreed-upon $315 million, 12-year deal ran into at least a hiccup or two."

Larry Brown Sports: Report: Mets want 1 thing in Carlos Correa negotiations. "The Mets are seeking language protections to diminish their risk in case Correa suffers some sort of lower leg injury."

Despite that Jon Heyman in the NY Post declared the Mets the winners of MLB offseason thus far. He sees Justin Verlander as an upgrade over Jacob deGrom and that Carlos Correa will end up in Queens.

SNY.TV: Yankees hire former Mets GM Omar Minaya as senior advisor to baseball operations.

Elite Sports NY: Making a case for Mets to not trade Eduardo Escobar. Mike Musico likes Escobar's versatility and thinks he can be part of the solution to the DH problem.

MLB.com: These 30 prospects will break out in 2023. For the Mets: Jett Williams. "The 19-year-old shortstop already shows a good feel to hit and has the plus speed desired in a sport putting added emphasis on the basepaths. He’ll have a chance to make everyone take notice likely starting at Single-A St. Lucie this spring."

The Save Flushing Meadows Corona Park group put out a map of where Steve Cohen plans to place his Casino near Citi Field.  It looks like it will take up a large chunk of the current parking lot.
