Roger Craig - 1962 Topps Baseball Card

SNY on Twitter has announced that Original Met Pitcher Roger Craig has passed away.  Born February 17, 1930, he was 93 years old.

Mets fans will always remember Roger as the best pitcher on very bad 1962 and 1963 Mets teams.  Roger went 10 -24 in 1962 and 5 and 22 in 1963.

Mostly a starter with the Mets, Roger also relieved 9 games in 1962 and 15 games in 1963 in addition to over 30 starts in each of those years.

Besides a 12 year career as a MLB pitcher, Roger also managed for 10 years with the Padres and the Giants winning 738 and losing 737.  He won the 1989 NL Pennant with the San Francisco Giants losing to the A's in the World Series.
