The Brooklyn Cyclones (5-3, 33-40) look to earn a series split against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (5-3, 40-33) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Monday evening at 7 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island.
RHP Cameron Foster (2-4, 5.06) is scheduled to make the start for Brooklyn against Jersey Shore’s LHP Jordan Fowler (3-2, 2.75).

RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD: Brooklyn endured their longest rain delay of the 2023 season on Sunday afternoon...The Cyclones and BlueClaws had a 1-hour and 7-minute stoppage at the top of the 9th due to torrential rain...Only 4 prior games had featured a delay of any kind in 2023...Brooklyn’s previous long delay in this campaign came with a 29-minute halt prior to the first pitch on May 13 at Wilmington...In all, the Cyclones' first 4 delays accrued a combined total of 59 minutes.
LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN: On Thursday and Friday, RHP Tyler Stuart and RHP Blade Tidwell became the first pair of Cyclones starters to toss 7.0-plus innings in consecutive games during the 2022 season...It was the first time Brooklyn had their starting pitcher toss 7.0-full frames in consecutive contests since three arms did it in three-straight days in 2022...RHP Luis Moreno (September 7), RHP Dominic Hamel (September 8), and RHP Jeffrey Colón (September 9) all went 7.0 frames in the final series of the regular season at Winston-Salem.
BEND, BUT NO TE-BRAKE: RHP Dylan Tebrake has been nearly untouchable since being reinstated from Brooklyn’s injured list...Since being activated on May 14, the 23-year-old has made 12 relief appearances...Tebrake has a 1.23 ERA (3 ER in 22.0 IP) on 10 hits and 10 walks, registering 34 strikeouts (13.91 K/9)...That equates to a 39.5 K% (34/86) and 11.6 BB% (10/86)...Since moving to a relief role, Tebrake is 2nd among SAL relievers in opposing OPS (.391) and hits-per-9 innings (3.72), tied for 2nd in strikeouts (34), 4th in WHIP (0.91) and ERA (1.23), and 5th in strikeouts-per-9 innings (13.91).
