Sports Illustrated.com: Astros Hurler Could Be Free Agent Target For Mets After Stunning Season. "an option for the Mets in free agency is former Houston Astros stud Héctor Neris."  The article quotes Joel Sherman of the NY Post to point out "'In all but one season of his career (2018 with the Philadelphia Phillies), Neris posted an ERA-plus of league average or better...No pitcher has appeared in more games over the last five seasons (307) than Neris, who turns 35 in June.'"

MLB.com: 6 impressive debuts from the 2023 international class.  This includes Jeremy Rodriguez of the Mets - "Jeremy Rodriguez was one of the younger players in the DSL this year, only turned 17 on the fourth of July...in those 13 games he walked 11 times and struck out only four. Showed some good speed too with seven steals. He’s got mostly gap power right now...this could end up being, you know, for just a few months of Tommy Pham, a pretty strong pickup for the Mets if he continues on this developmental path."

Anthony DiComo Mets.com: What's the score for '24? A month-by-month outlook for Mets fans. Anthony gives things to look forwrd to over the next 12 months including: "In addition to the usual spring games, this March will feature the first edition of Spring Breakout, a Futures Game-style matchup between teams of prospects around the league. Members of the Mets’ Top 30 Prospects list will match up against their Nationals counterparts on March 15 at Clover Park."

Danny Abriano SNY.TV: Mets have lots of work left to become 'serious playoff contender' they aim to be in 2024. "Mets must act with aggression and precision to complete a roster that is still full of holes...The Mets simply need to navigate what is a pretty weak free agent class with precision, adeptly filling the many holes they still have with players who won't get in the way of their vision for 2025 and beyond."
