Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (30-28) continue their six-game series against the Hudson Valley Renegades (30-27) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. from Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

LHP Felipe De La Cruz (3-4, 2.89) is expected to take the hill for the Cyclones. The Renegades are projected to counter with the RHP Baron Stuart (3-1, 4.19).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn dropped its third-straight contest, 13-4, on Tuesday night at Hudson Valley...The Cyclones carried a 2-0 lead into the fifth, but the Renegades scored five in that frame, six in the sixth, and two in the seventh...LF Nick Morabito collected a team and game-high-tying three hits, stealing a base and scoring a run...C Chris Suero and 2B Jefrey De Los Santos each tallied a pair of knocks with the latter driving in a run...RHP Jawilme Ramírez took a no-decision for Brooklyn after tossing 4.0 innings of one-hit, shutout ball...9-of-10 batters for Hudson Valley picked up at least one hit and all 10 reached base safely at least once...The contest was Brooklyn's longest nine-inning game of the year at 3:20...It is the longest nine-inning game played by the Cyclones since a 3:47 ballgame on July 21, 2023, also at Hudson Valley.

 

THE CENTURY MARK: RHP Michel Otañez became the 100th player in Brooklyn Cyclones history to make the trip from Coney Island to the Major Leagues, making his Major League debut for the Oakland Athletics on Monday night...The 26-year-old threw 0.2 scoreless innings in San Diego allowing a hit and a walk...Otañez made seven starts for Brooklyn in the 2019 season and 35 relief appearances during the 2021 campaign...In 42 appearances (seven starts), the right-hander held a 5-2 record with a 4.20 ERA (33 ER in 70.2 IP), one save, 58 walks, and 84 strikeouts...Otañez is the second former Cyclone to make his Major League debut in 2024...RHP Christian Scott (2022-23) was the first to do so for the New York Mets on May 4.
