Fans love to come up with trades for their favorite team. It probably ranks second among things they like to do as armchair managers/GMs, behind only making up batting orders. The best thing about this is that many people have graduated past the idea of, “hey let’s package three things we don’t want for another team’s star!” A trade proposal, even a fake one, has to make sense for both teams.
This is a space for everyone to weigh in on what area the Mets should target for at the trade deadline, along with potential deals they could make. There are plenty of rumors floating out there over who might be available. There have been multiple cites that Tarik Skubal of the Tigers could be one, which makes zero sense to me. So, with that in mind, don’t be too constrained by who is and who is not available and come up with deals that make sense for both teams.
