The Mets will Honor the Diversity, Creativity and Culture of Queens Over a Two-Day Celebration at Citi Field on August 13th and 14th
FLUSHING, N.Y., August 6, 2024 – The New York Mets will host their first-ever "A Celebration of Queens Culture" presented by Metropolitan Park, a joint venture between Steve Cohen and Hard Rock International, in a two-day celebration on Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14 at Citi Field. This year's two-day celebration is designed to honor the immensely diverse community surrounding Queens through food, music and art.
The Mets will offer an exclusive $10 ticket offer for Queens residents on August 13 and August 14. Additionally, there will be a 15% discount at select Queens-based food vendors throughout the ballpark including Cookie Crumz, Pig Beach BBQ, Chiddy's Cheesesteaks, Benny's Cuban Café, and Tea and Milk. Previous Taste of Queens vendors, Poprice and RyRy's Kitchen, will have a special pop-up in the Bullpen Plaza on both days.
Music throughout both nights will feature Queens-grown musicians. On Tuesday, Astoria's own Nina Sky will perform the National Anthem and Queens DJ SONI withanEYE will spin throughout the night. On Wednesday, Forest Hills' own Juliet Ivy will perform the National Anthem.
Additionally on Tuesday, local community organizations will be featured in the Bullpen Plaza to showcase available resources for Queens residents. There will also be Queens artists at the ballpark, creating on-site pieces reflective of Queens culture on Tuesday.
